Mission Beach is a narrow strip of land bordered on the east by Mission Bay, on the west by the Pacific ocean, and on the south by the Mission Bay channel. South Mission Beach lies to the south of Belmont Park and is split into the bay side and the ocean side by Mission Boulevard. On the ocean side, the beach runs for 2½ miles north from the channel jetty to Pacific Beach. On the bay side, there are beaches for swimming and sun bathing, parks with grassy picnic areas and play equipment, and large water areas devoted to sailing and water skiing. 
South Mission beach is mainly residential with just a few businesses located along Mission Blvd. It's quieter and more family oriented than the main part of Mission Beach. Just a short and fun bike ride or walk along the boardwalk to extensive shopping and dining in Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. Many popular attractions are close by. Old Town and Sea World are less than 10 minutes by car. Hillcrest and downtown San Diego are about 15 minutes away. Balboa Park and the world famous San Diego Zoo are just a few minutes further. We currently have two properties in South Mission Beach available for vacation rental. One is located on the bay side and one on the ocean side of Mission Blvd.
